Gardening
Gardening sessions—led by our Director Joanne MacInnes and gardening volunteers—offer a peaceful, hands-on way for community members to reconnect with nature, learn about sustainability, and grow fresh herbs, vegetables, and flowers together.
These sessions take place in our welcoming green space and are open to everyone, regardless of gardening experience.
More than just planting, our garden is part of a wider cycle of care: food scraps from our kitchen are composted on-site, creating rich natural fertiliser that feeds our plants. What might have gone to landfill is instead transformed into nourishment—both for the garden and the people who tend it. Gardening at West London Welcome fosters calm, connection, and a shared sense of purpose rooted in community and care for the environment.
