Mehri Madadi

Community Outreach and Operations Manager

Mehri moved to West London from Iran over twenty years ago. She first joined us as a volunteer during the Covid pandemic in 2020, helping to run our free clothing shop and translating in Farsi and English. Now as Community Outreach and Operations Manager, Mehri organises practical support for our community, trips around the city, and supporting with building operations. Having built her life in the local community, she is passionate about welcoming newly-arrived people.

In Iran, Mehri taught literature and Farsi. After moving to the UK, she worked as a teaching assistant. Gaining a teaching Diploma from Canterbury Christ Church University, Mehri then taught various vocational subjects to adults. Most recently she worked for the Octavia Housing Trust as a charity shop manager, where many of her staff and volunteers were from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
