Pair Up is a campaign by West London Welcome to provide properly fitting shoes for asylum-seeking kids.

Asylum-seeking families often arrive in the UK with nothing and live on less than £9 per week from the Home Office. They can’t even afford to buy second-hand clothes, never mind decent new shoes for their kids.

Pair Up asks people to buy a same-value shop voucher for an asylum-seeking child when they buy their own child a new pair of shoes.

It’s vital that feet are happy in new, well-fitting shoes. Help us to ensure these vulnerable children start school with the dignity they deserve.

Want to take part? Here’s what to do…

If you are an individual who would like to support Pair Up, you can sponsor our friend Mark Norton’s cycle ride in the RideLondon 60 event on 26 May 2023 – he will be using the funds to buy as many pairs of shoes for asylum-seeking kids as possible.

If you are a school that would like to take part, contact us at hello@westlondonwelcome.com. See here for a sample poster already on display at local schools.
